What a great way to fit in exercising for yourself, while promoting exercise for your students...
On Friday, March 22, 2013, my school held a Jog-A-Thon that was hosted by the PTA. Due to school for myself, loads of paperwork for my job and teaching my students, I have not been able to fit in a really good workout. I have purchased a workout band, which gives me a good and quick workout. However, it's nothing like a good run.
During the Jog-A-Thon, three of my young competitive staff and I turned the kids' Jog-A-Thon into a nice workout. When the kids got too tired, I would sit them out on the side lines with water and my other staff. I would then begin running beside another one of my students. It was a time where I did one whole lap by myself. I was trying to catch up with one of my other students. When the Jog-A-Thon ended, I had to change my shirt because it was damp from sweat.
What a great day and workout. It felt good to multi-task and work on my health, while assisting my students with their health.
